Album artwork

Where music meets visual storytelling.

During the 1990s and early 2000s, when CDs were at the height of their popularity, I designed approximately 25 album covers for musicians and recording artists across a variety of musical genres, from classical and chamber music to contemporary recordings.

Each project presented a unique creative challenge: translating the character, emotion and identity of the music into a compelling visual experience. Through illustration, photography, typography and thoughtful art direction, I developed distinctive designs that reflected the personality of each artist and the spirit of their recordings.

The examples shown here illustrate the diversity of that work, from expressive photographic compositions to richly textured illustrations and bold typographic treatments. Each cover was conceived to capture attention, communicate a musical identity and make a lasting impression.

Have an album in the works but no artwork to go with it? Whether you're an emerging musician releasing your first recording or an established artist looking for a fresh visual direction, I'd love to help. Let's create something beautiful together — artwork that looks as distinctive as your music sounds.

Process

A clear and practical design process

  1. 1

    Discovery

We discuss your goals, audience, required deliverables, timing, and any existing materials.

  2. 2

    Direction and estimate

I recommend an approach, define the project scope, and provide a written estimate before work begins.

  3. 3

    Design and refinement

I develop the agreed direction and refine it through a structured feedback process.

  4. 4

    Final delivery

You receive organized, professionally prepared files for their intended print or digital use.

The exact process may vary depending on the project, but expectations, deliverables, and costs are clarified before design work begins.
